I love Spanish. Since I was a kid, my life has revolved around this beautiful language. When I was sixteen I knew for sure that this special relationship was going to last forever. Studying Journalism was, therefore, a very logical decision. However, something unexpected happened: besides writing, I loved teaching Spanish as well.

I discovered my passion for teaching by chance. After finishing my BA in Communication at University Complutense of Madrid, I went to US to teach Spanish at Florida State University and earn a MA in Spanish. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed teaching my mother tongue and its culture. I continued teaching it back in Spain in different Study Abroad programs.

Currently I am working on my doctoral dissertation at University of Granada, combining Spanish teaching with researching on sexual minorities in Spain. In the same way, I participate actively in the community as an activist for lesbian, gays, transexuals and bisexual rights. If you are interested in knowing me better, do not hesitate to request a copy of my CV.
